Monogram Styles Used:

Monogram: ANE

The starting point for this three-letter monogram is the initial E, taken from our Gothic 9 XL Monogram Set. This style has classic curves, and small dot embellishments at the ends of satin stitch branches that extend beyond the letter. We wanted the overall design to be big, but not too big, so the smaller size of the two sizes that are part of the set was chosen.

For flanking letters - A and N - a slightly contrasting style seemed appropriate. The letters in the Gothic Monogram Set 15 have little "ears" that nicely compliment the round elements in the E.

To complete the design and stretch it visually side-to-side, the brackets called "1923" from Monogram Flourishes Set 2 are a nice compliment.

The overall size is 5 1/2" (139mm) tall by 9 7/8" (250mm) wide.

How we made these monograms

Embroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors.
