Monogram: CMA

This classic three-letter monogram is large and would look good on bed linens, a shower curtain, or a pillow.

The Diamond 2 XL Monogram Set is designed for use as a two-letter monogram, with the left and right versions combined to create a diamond shape.

For this monogram, we started with the left side letter C, then added the left side letter M, but mirrored it in our software so that these two letters had matching curly extensions pointing in opposite directions. This trick wouldn't work for every letter but the letter M is one that can be mirrored this way and still be correct.

We spread them out and made a space between, then chose the letter A from the Arabesque 14 XL Monogram Set for the last name initial. It has similar design details, but adds some additional interest by not being exactly the same..

The overall size is 5 1/8" (131mm) tall by 8 7/8" (225mm) wide.

How we made these monograms

Embroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors.
