Monogram: E

The letters in our Arts and Crafts Monogram Set 10 are versatile designs - with an opportunity to add details within a square satin stitch box - one or two smaller interior letters, and optional scroll embellishments. That's also an opportunity to add something completely different from another style. In keeping with the Arts and Crafts concept, we chose a letter from Arts and Crafts Monogram Set 4. First eliminating the letter, and then some details from the accompanying flower (stems, leaf details) we were left only with a three color stylized flower, which we used to fill the open box in the design. As with most combinations, a little tweaking was necessary. We made the flower slightly smaller, and rotated it slightly to the right so that it fit more comfortably in the space. The overall size is 3 1/2" (89mm) tall by 1 3/8" (33mm) wide.

How we made these monograms

Embroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors.
