Monogram: E

For this single initial monogram we started with the initial E from the Baroque 4XL Monogram Set - the middle letter in this monogram set, which consists of left, middle, and right letters. It has raised candlewick stitch "dots" inside a satin stitch outline.

To give this initial some formality as a letter on its own we added a base design - Design 10 from Monogram Flourishes Set 4. These two elements join well together despite the fact that the letter is angular and a bit geometric, and the base design has some curled elements. The curls compliment the rounded candlewick dots, and open circles and smaller dots are complimentary.

This large monogram would be well suited to some fancy towels, bed linens, or a shower curtain.

The overall size is 7 7/8" (200mm) tall by 6 1/2" (165mm) wide

How we made these monograms

Embroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors.
