Taken from artwork from the 1930s, this is a classic three-letter triangle monogram style - the type that would have been found on fine linens or the linings of luxurious fur coats. The set includes left, middle, and right versions for each letter. There is a separate design for the two corner details, and a running stitch triangle outline to help with prefect placement of the parts. The letters and corner details are digitized in statin stitch with plenty of underlay for a traditional rounded appearance. The letters can be used without the corner details if you wish.

Taken from artwork from a 1933 French publication for professional embroiders, this versatile triangle style includes everything needed to create many variations for two-letter monograms. There are left and right side versions of the alphabet, which can be used alone or in combination with the triangular border. There are also left and right versions of two styles of corner brackets. These satin stitch designs can be used on anything, but are particularly useful for on-point napkin monograms.

We acquired a style book from an old monogram shop that went out of business. The book contains examples of the shop's offerings, showing only a few letters for each style. We were intrigued by a variation on a geometric triangle - this one has curling script letters that can be arranged in a three- letter triangle form, with brackets to accent the triangle shape. We recreated the rest of the alphabet, digitizing the letters in satin stitch. An outline template design is also included to make it quick and easy to place the letters when merging them in your embroidery software program.
