Monogram Styles Used:
- Moderne Monogram Set 9
- Arabesque Monogram Set 7
Sometimes the stating point for these Combinations is a specific set of letters. In this case the starting point was to make an interesting abstract design from letters in Moderne Monogram Set 9 - accomplished by just playing around with copy, paste, rotate in our embroidery software program.
After a few uninteresting starts, we took the letter A and rotated it 90 degrees, then made a copy and rotated the copy 180 degrees. These two designs were moved around a bit and left separated a bit in the center placed foot to foot.
After making this new "emblem" we went looking for letters to go with it. Arabesque Monogram Set 7, with the matching loops on either side of the larger center letter looked good, and the flanking initials from the same style completed this monogram.
The overall size is 5 3/8"(136mm) tall by 7 1/8"(181mm) wide.
How we made these monograms
Embroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors.
