It is intended for the creation of a three-letter oval shaped monogram, accomplished by merging the appropriate letters from left, middle, and right versions. Our historical research turned up a style sheet from a monogramming shop that closed sometime in the late 1940s - this was one of their custom offerings. We had enough information from the three letters pictured in their sample to recreate the entire set. It is done in satin stitch for both letters and border with two French Knot accents.
