The artwork for this monogram style is French - from the 1930s. The leaf motif outline is done in satin stitch, as are the letters. The interior leaf fill is a manual seed stitch. In order to provide maximum creative color potential that element is digitized as three passes - in three different colors. Our sewn sample shows how this can look with orange, light green, and yellow gold treads. For a simpler result you can use the same thread color for all three - or sew just the outline by skipping over the fill colors. However it's done this two-letter monogram has a sophisticated look.
