Synopsis: n 1939 pre-war Britain, Mrs Kay Miniver (Greer Garson) and her family live a comfortable life in a small village outside London. Her husband Clem (Walter Pidgeon) is a successful architect, and they have three children. She is well liked in the community, and the local stationmaster has named a new breed of rose after her. All this is shattered when World War II is declared.
Scene: Top: Mrs Miniver travels to London on the train to indulge one last pre-war habit - buying a new hat. Bottom: Bottom: Clem ready for bed.
