Synopsis: Set in a resort in upstate New York's Catskill Mountains in the summer 0f 1963, Frances "Baby" Houseman (Jennifer Grey) and her family travel to Kellerman's Resort. Baby is expected to head off to college, join the Peace Corps, save the world, then settle down to marry a doctor. She unexpectedly finds herself in love with the camps famboyant dance instructor Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze).
Scene: Filmed in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia, the sprawling (ficticious) Kellerman's has everything for a family vacation - furnished cabins, outdoor activities, a talent show, and dinner and dancing every night in the resort dining room - Music provided by house band.
Monogram: Resort owner Max Kellerman (Jack Weston) and bandleader Charles "Honi" Coles (Tito Suarez) do a soft-shoe in front of the bandstand, with music stands displaying the K logo.
