Synopsis: Mia Thermopolis, a socially awkward but very bright 15-year-old girl (Anne Hathaway), raised by a single mother, discovers that she is a princess and heir to the throne of a small european country - her long-absent father was the crown prince of Genovia. The queen (Julie Andrews) seeks the favor of her estranged grandaughter, and tries to convert her from a shy teenager to a lady.
