The Kids Are All Right - 2010

Movie: The Kids Are All Right - 2010

Director: Lisa Cholodenko

Synopsis: The children of same-sex parents Nic (Annette Bening) and Jules (Julianne Moore) become curious about the identity of their sperm-donor dad and set out to meet him and make him part of their family unit. Laser (Josh Hutcherson) is only 16 - too young to inquire - so needs to enlist the help of his older sister Joni (Mia Wasikowska) who is 18 and will be leaving for college in the fall. Their first meeting goes well, and they both find Paul (Mark Ruffalo) to be an interesting character, and a contrast to their Moms. The household dynamics quickly become complicated, and nobody is sure how he fits in, if at all.

Scene: Jules is struggling to assert herself, an has started a landscaping business. Paul invites her to his house to advise him on his garden.

Monogram: The truck, with a logo on the door, and the company name "Designs by Jules" along with a phone number. Since the letter surrounded by vines and a border is a G, we're not sure what it stands for. The characters in the screenplay don't have last names.
