Synopsis: The movie version of the best selling tell-all memoir by Christina Crawford about growing up with her adoptive, abusive, alcoholic mother - the famous actress Joan Crawford.
Scene: Christina (Diana Scarwid), now an adult, is folding laundry with Joan (Faye Dunaway) when her mother breaks down and reveals that she has lost her movie contract and is broke.
Monogram: A large red JC embroidered monogram on Joan's navy blue sweater. Oversized monograms like this had their mainstream fashion moment in the 1950s - see "The Sweater in our "In Print" section.
