Synopsis: During Mardi Gras in New Orleans , Antoinette "Toni" Dubois (Nancy Coleman) falls for handsome soldier Dick Connolly (Philip Reed). They leave the restaurant together. The next morning they return for breakfast and asks her to marry him.She is reluctant - they have only known each other briefly. They agree to meet in the same spot in 6 weeks if their feelings are still strong. As the meeting approaches, Toni is certain of her love, and plans to tell Dick that she is pregnant. He doesn't appear. The letter he wrote to her explaining that his leave was canceled was never delivered. Deeply unhappy, she travels to New York to visit her married sister Renee Gordon (Margaret Lindsay). She reveals her secret. Rene's husband Bill (Regis Toomey) is a Naval officer overseas. Rene tells Toni that she can't have children.
Scene: Toni has just told Rene her secret.
Monogram: On the lapels of Toni's exotic jacket there are large initials T and D - applied somehow (perhaps with sequins?)
