Synopsis: Happy Gilmore (Adam Sandler) is a failed hockey player with a huge temper who decides to become a golf pro in order to win prize money to save his grandmother (Frances Bay) 's house from the IRS - she raised him after his mother moved to Egypt to escape his hockey-obsessed father, and his father was hit by a hockey puck in the head and killed. His unconventional half-hockey golf style leads to a final-round pairing with top golf pro Shooter McGavin (Christopher McDonald).
