Synopsis: Following in the shadow of the highly regarded and popular British TV series, the movie version of the story centers around an event in 1927, when King George V and Queen Mary annouce that they will be coming to Downton as part of a royal tour. Queen Mary's Lady-in-Waiting Lady Maud Bagshaw (Imelda Staunton) is estranged cousin of Lord Grantham (Hugh Bonneville). The visit is announced in a letter hand delivered by a mysterious Major Chetwode (Stephen Campbell Moore). Intrigue follows.
Scene: Major Chetwode board the night train from London for the trip to Downton.
Monogram: The carriage seat is decorated/protected with an antimacassar embroidered with a script letters L.N.E.R - London North Eastern Railway - still in operation today.
