Synopsis: Dr. Gerald Boyer (James Garner) is a happily married obstetrician. He and his wife Beverly (Doris Day) live in the suburbs with their two children. They are invited to a dinner party by one of Dr Boyer's patients. When Beverly tells one of the guests a story about how much she loves Happy Soap, the guest - the company's patriarch owner - Tom Fraleigh (Reginald Owen) - insists that she become the company's new TV spokesperson. Beverly's new life quickly spirals out of control.
Scene: Gerald thinks that Beverly should be staying home with the kids. Beverly thinks otherwise. Arguments ensue.
Monogram: As part of her newly glamorized wardrobe, Beverly has a robe with a very large BB monogram embroidered on the back.
