Synopsis: Widowed Jenny Nelson (Doris Day) works part time as a mermaid at her father's glass bottom boat business on Catalina island, and also in the PR department at NASA. Bruce Templeton (Rod Taylor) a NASA research scientist, is smitten with her. CIA and NASA officials somehow begin to suspect Jenny's a spy working for the Soviets, trying to steal the details of Bruce's GIZMO anti-gravity project. Bruce doesn't believe it - but must try to keep his true project secret from her. He's hired her to help write his autobiography.
Scene: The NASA/CIA staff are trying to do their best to prove that Jenny is a spy. Actually someone else is. When the details of the GIZMO machine are stolen, everybody tries to get them back, including Zach Molloy (Dick Martin).
Monogram: After a half-baked attempt to woo Jenny to reveal her supposed secrets Zach is racing to another location in his car - in a dressing gown with red ZM initials.
