Synopsis: Songwriter Brad Allen (Rock Hudson) shares a two-party phone line (an inconceivable concept in New York in the 21st Century but relatively common in 1959) with interior decorator Jan Morrow (Doris Day). When one party is using the phone the other can't - and Brad is a womanizer who loves to talk. Animosity builds, but they have never met. When Brad finally sees Jan by chance he decides to go after her, and invents the persona of Rex Stetson, wealthy Texas rancher.
Scene: The scene begins with Jan in the bathtub, buried in bubbles. The phone on the table next to the tub rings. As she answers it another scene pushes in from the right - Brad in his tub, calling her on his phone. The two scenes meet in the middle, each occupying half of the screen. Note: this scene was considered extremely provocative in 1959.
Monogram: Jan has a large monogram embroidered in silver on her shower curtain. The ornate J and part of the M are visible in the folds. A matching set of monogrammed towels was visible just before Brad intruded on her bath.
