Pal Joey - 1957

Movie: Pal Joey - 1957

Director: George Sidney

Synopsis: Joey Evans (Frank Sinatra) is a second-rate singer in San Francisco - funny, charming - and a real womanizer. He wants to open his dream nightclub, "Chez Joey", and enlists the support of Former flame and ex-stripper Vera Prentice-Simpson (Rita Hayworth), now a wealthy and lonely society widow. He also falls for Linda English (Kim Novak) a naive chorus girl. The movie is a loose adaptation of the Broadway musical play of the same name, with songs by Rodgers and Hart.

Scene: Joey - always his own man - in a stateroom on a nearby yacht.

Monogram: Joey's embroidered slippers.
